New structure underlines a customer-centric approach for 2024
Credit management software specialist Onguard announces changes to its Management Team from 1 January 2024. As such, Onguard is adding a Finance Director and a People & Culture Director, and a redistribution of portfolios is taking place to become even more of a customer-centric organisation. Martin van den Ham will take up the role of Finance Director and Eric-Jan Pouw will become the People & Culture Director. Both are currently already working for Onguard.

Many years of experience

In 2017, Martin van den Ham started at Onguard as Business Analyst. After several promotions, he is now making the transition from Finance Team Lead to Finance Director. In this new role, Van den Ham is also responsible for Operations within Onguard.

Eric-Jan Pouw has a broad professional experience, focusing in recent years on People & Culture. Previously, he was Head of Delivery at Appical, also part of Visma, before making the move to Onguard just under a year ago. As of 1 January 2024, Pouw is therefore the People & Culture Director.

Customer-centric focus

In addition, two current MT members will have their roles adjusted to increase customer focus. Debbie Staat was responsible for Customer Success and Support as an MT member. As Customer Director, she will be responsible for all commercial customer issues including Sales, Customer Success and Marketing.

Cor Makkinje was responsible for Professional Services within Onguard and will now take on the role of Services Director. In doing so, he will be responsible for both the Professional Services departments and the entire Service Center.

Unchanged are the MT positions of Adriaan Kom as Managing Director and Tim Blok as Technology Director.

Onguard’s full MT consists of: Adriaan Kom (Managing Director), Cor Makkinje (Services Director), Debbie Staat (Customer Director), Eric-Jan Pouw (People & Culture Director), Martin van der Ham (Finance Director), Tim Blok (Technology Director) and Floor Stam-Lammers (Manager Outstanding24).

Adriaan Kom, Managing Director of Onguard: “I am extremely proud of the professional and balanced management team that is now in place. Since making these changes and adding two important employees to the Management Team, Onguard will be even better at putting the customer first. This shows that you can grow internally and that we dare to make clear choices. We are constantly developing and will continue to adapt to this. This way, we get the best out of our organisation and we can help our current and future customers as best as possible.”

Onguard is a Visma company with more than 30 years experience in facilitating optimised working capital through smart credit management. Bottom line, we provide quality time with your customers by handling the day-to-day operations.
