On June 1st Bert van der Zwan took over the CEO position from former CEO and founder David Taylor.
Drawing on his extensive finance and IT experience, Bert will build on the company’s growth and continue to enable businesses, across multiple sectors, to improve the health of their working capital.
Bert has held a number of successful leadership roles in companies such as WebEx, Twinfield, Rally, Cisco and Unit4. Bert has contributed to impressive international expansions and successfully took Rally software public. In February 2015, he assumed the position of Chairman of the OnGuard Board where he got to know OnGuard’s vision, solutions and goals.
Van der Zwan: “I’m very excited to be leading OnGuard into its next chapter. The company’s mission to build more resilient businesses by reducing the risks associated with cash flow is vital to global firms in times of uncertainty. This mission, alongside my experience in expanding international companies, means there are some really exciting years ahead.”
Edwin has been in the (financial) software industry for more than 25 years. As a business developer he has always been on the sales and marketing side of the company. With both extensive direct and indirect sales experience he knows how to grow the business. With his strong external focus on building relationships, locally and internationally, Edwin has an extended global network at various levels of finance, commercial and ICT professionals.
Since 2003, when Edwin joined OnGuard, he has been a committed member of the international credit and collections industry. Besides being a shareholder of OnGuard, he is also an active person in several credit management associations and communities in the Netherlands (like the VCMB) and international (like the ICTF).
Edwin strongly believes in a global community of OnGuard Alliances & Partners that can help local and international companies to improve their working capital though a customer intimate credit management approach. The OnGuard solution and the local services, knowledge and network of the partner will help many companies to improve their order to cash processes.
Eri Guci joined OnGuard in 2010 as Chief Financial Officer. Eri has broad experience in finance, accounting and controlling. Eri has held a number of successful financial roles at companies such as PPG and Accenture.
Eri holds an MBA in finance degree from Webster University in The Netherlands. He also successfully completed his executive master class in controllership at Vlerick Management School in Belgium, in which he obtained his Chartered Controller degree.
Floor Stam, started April 1st 2017 as Vice President Marketing. Floor will concentrate on developing the new branding and marketing strategy of our new organization. In addition further professionalization of the marketing and communication activities and optimization of the marketing/ sales funnel will be of her top focus.
She has gained a broad experience in IT and B2B marketing and is a strong believer of content driven multichannel marketing. Floor is enthusiastic about her new role: “To develop and market a new name, branding and strategy is the dream of every marketer. The biggest challenge is to establish a strong brand without losing the value and strength of the two brands. The objective is that 1 + 1 will be 3 so that we can serve our current and future customers even better.
John Scholte joined OnGuard in 2015 as Head of Direct Sales. John has broad experience in business development and international account management. John has held a number of successful commercial roles at companies such as Dun & Bradstreet and Atradius. During his 20 years in sales, John was recognized many times as Sales Person of the Year and he won many awards.
John is in charge of the direct sales team of OnGuard which consists of account- and business development executives, pre-sales and sales operations. The main goal is to maximize the customer satisfaction of our customers and help new customers to improve the order to cash process significantly.
John’s greatest strengths are his creativity, drive and leadership. He thrives on challenges and embraces changes. John’s style is to truly understand the current situation and drivers of OnGuard’s customers and prospects. This is the best way to help customers and to enable them to change their order to cash processes.
Under Pim’s leadership Credit Tools has seen its annual sales rising by at least 15%. Pim is enthusiastic about his new role as COO in the new organization. “Together we face a great challenge to combine the best of our organizations and to achieve our global ambitions.”
Stephan Schoon joined OnGuard in 2010 as Team Leader Service Centre. Stephan has broad experience in IT and Coaching. Stephan has held a number of successful roles at companies such as Nobel van Dijk & Partners, Dutchview and as assistant head coach of the Dutch Paralympic swimming team. Stephan’s specialties include Customer Experience Management, ITIL, Service Management and people management.

Marieke joined OnGuard in 2016 as CTO. Marieke is an experienced and innovative IT professional with over 15 years of experience working on Software delivery within large international companies like ADP and Wolters Kluwer. She is specialized in connecting strategy, architecture and people within an organization. She is a Management 3.0 believer and an Agile and Scrum fore fighter with a pragmatic approach. Marieke is focused on delivering increased value and innovation through the development and motivation of engineering talent.
