Lead Front-end developer

At OnGuard we continuously work on new innovations to the OnGuard software in order to help professional international companies to improve their credit management processes. We strive to provide customers with optimal support by providing the best software and services. And you can contribute to this process!

We are looking for an expert in frontend technology, Javascript and CSS that will set-up and streamline our application frontend and guides our frontend team using HTML and the ReactJS framework. You may also be required to convert existing code into the new environment so some knowledge of C# would be preferable.

The team you work in is a small multidisciplinary scrum/Agile team that exists of 2-4 programmers that are OnGuard and outsourced developers. The project has a tight timetable and must deliver a high level of quality.

We want you and the team to:

  • Setup a roadmap for the frontend technology
  • Decide on frontend architecture and frameworks
  • Guide other developers in becoming frontend experts
  • Work closely with other teams in order to align your vision
  • Develop the most awesome credit management application the world has ever seen
  • Landscape our greenfield environment

Are we a match?

Job requirements

• Bachelor/ university degree and reasoning level
• Available fulltime
• 2+ years’ experience as a team development lead
• 2+ years proven experience with HTML/JavaScript and React.JS
• You can work with Angular, Vue or React (you basically don’t care; as long as it fits the job)
• Rock-solid development skills
• Love to write VanillaJS
• Live and breathe the ES5+ / typescript specification
• Have a strong sense of user engagement and UX
• Know her/his way around CSS preprocessors like SASS and LESS
• Experience with REST, CSS, API techniques and C# are a strong plus
• Experience in programming functional software applications
• Experience with Agile SCRUM
• Excellent communications skills in English and preferably Dutch
